My name is Rena Sherwood and as you've probably figured out, I'm the author of Not the New Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and this blog. Since this photo was taken, I've returned to the United States (where I was born) and became a freelance writer.
I spend most of my time now taking care of my crippled mother and my pets. It was my Mom who suggested that I write about when I was homeless. I decided to merge some of that with Sherlock Holmes in order to create what I hope is a different spin on Sherlock Holmes literature.
My other writings include:
- My HubPages articles
- Why Van Gogh Matters (a blog about, oddly enough, Vincent Van Gogh)
- A Hero For Bobo (a flash fiction piece)
- I'm also a contributing short story author to Polluto 6: Identity Theft & the Octopus Kid
Other weird things about me that you probably wish you never knew:
- I'm a Peter Gabriel fan
- I have no favorite color/ favourite colour
- I spend far too much time on Goodreads
- I am a horseless horse lover
- I hope to write the ultimate Sherlock Holmes Vs Hannibal Lecter book
- I worked in retail for about 10 years and still have nightmares about it
- I am a domestic abuse survivor -- and have fewer nightmares about that than I do about working in retail during Christmas Eve
- I'm a graduate of both Delaware County Community College and Millersville University. I'd like to blame any spelling and grammatical errors with them, but we both know that it's my own fault.
